Parish Office Opening Times
I'm on holiday next week! Painting and windsurfing in the Lake District. The Office will still be open but on shorter hours, Tuesday to Thursday, 9am to 11.30am. For urgent business please contact Rupert on 255441 or Derek on 259979.
Please do come and see the art exhibition on for the whole of April in the Emmaus Room. Wonderful paintings by Mark Brooke - this is a top quality exhibition of mainly landscape paintings. If you cannot see the exhibition after a Sunday service or during office hours, call Rupert to arrange a viewing.
Also consider giving to the Bishops appeal for Mara. They have been struck hard by the famine sweeping through East Africa. See the Grapevine for more details or drop in the money (clearly labelled for the appeal) to the Parish Office or in the collection on Sunday. This is urgent as people need our help now.

A Vision for Growth
Welcome to the Parish of Sandal Magna.
Extract from the latest Grapevine Magazine..
"A Vision for Growth - Focussing on Jesus and His Mission.
Our life as a church centres on Jesus Christ. It is through Him that God’s work is accomplished. He is the head of the church, and the church is fueled by the energy of the Holy Spirit. So any vision for the growth of the church begins with maintaining that close connection with the source of our life together, in worship and prayer.
Praying on one’s own, praying together, interceding for the needs of the world, saying grace before meals, meditating on God’s word, practising the presence of God while we work; there are so many ways of keeping in touch with God, remaining in the vine. Equally, there are many ways of worshipping God, with varieties of music and liturgy. As we worship our Creator God, we are called to be creative and to explore new ways of worship whilst enjoying the fruit of previous generations. As a church we have always aimed to embrace the rich range of worship and to provide for every need, and we will explore how we can develop this later on. Staying close to God enables us to discern His will for our lives and the life of His church. We seek constantly His wisdom and guidance. And over the years God has been faithful to us as we have taken some big steps of faith in renewing the spiritual life and the physical fabric of the church.."
Please follow the link to the Grapevine for more information on the proposed changes to our pattern of worship, as well as detailed articles about the Mission and Mara Group, latest service times etc.

Other News.
Housegroups are about to start the 'Everyday with God', Lent material. We have used a version with the youth (13+) and found it to be excellent, challenging and a prayerful set of material.
Sunday 12th March. Vision and Thanksgiving Sunday. Rupert will be sharing the churches vision at both St. Helen's and St. Paul's in the morning services. It is also a chance for us to pledge our financial gifts for the coming year. Pease pickup a 'Promise Card' if you have not received one already.
Monday 10th April - Final Deadline for the Electoral Roll Revision. If you are new to the church or have moved, please pick up an Electoral Roll form and hand it into the Parish Office. The Roll is crucial both as a sign of our commitment to Christ's mission in this Parish but also as a way of making sure our church members database is up-to-date, especially when it comes to printing a new church directory later in the year.
Please see the Grapevine for more news and informaton, including the Marriage Course, St. Helen's Festival Weekend etc.
